VOTE FOR RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP

RESTORE
BREVARD

The goal of the Restore Brevard initiative is to re-establish a limited government that primarily focuses on the needs of its citizens. Those basic needs include public safety, solid infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility. Restore Brevard aims to inform residents about how the city is managed, encourage their participation in city governance, and motivate them to vote in municipal elections.

The City of Brevard prioritizes its progressive agenda over the needs of its residents. While they focus on ‘affordable housing’ and increasing tourism, the concerns of their citizens are often overlooked or left unaddressed. This shift began with the 2021 election of Mayor Maureen Copelof, the election of progressive city council members, and the hiring of police chief Thomas Jordan and city manager Wilson Hooper. The city council members are Aaron Baker, Gary Daniel, Pamela Holder, Mac Morrow, and Lauren Wise. Together with the mayor, they set the direction for the city.

The Brevard mayor and city council do not believe that the primary role of government is to provide their citizens’ basic needs: public safety, a solid infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility. As a result, law enforcement has deteriorated to the point that the county sheriff now patrols the area, city infrastructure has fallen into disrepair leading to regular sewage overflows into the French Broad River, and spending and taxes are so excessive that multi-generational residents can no longer afford to live in their hometown.

We are losing Brevard. We need to restore it before it’s too late.
